In both 2016 and 2017, the musical "Annie" from 1977 was staged as a Christmas theater at Dverberg.

The story of Annie is based on a 1924 cartoon about the orphaned girl who escapes  the orphanage, and the strict manager Miss Hannigan, in New York, and is adopted by the millionaire Oliver Warbucks.
